An amazing soundtrack featuring crunchy synth-rock and funky jazz-fusion melodies.Beautifully crafted vibrant pixel art worlds, vehicles and characters.Pilot devastating war-machine vehicles to decimate large groups of enemies.Customize your playing style using a combination of upgrade chips, secondary weapons and assist characters.Battle against screen filling bosses that will test your skill, timing, and dodging.Fast-paced run-and-gun experience with tight controls. ![]() It works perfect with the Steam Controller and Stadia Controller though, so I've had an absolute blast with it. I've seen others report that some less popular controllers don't work at all like some 8bitdo and my Xbox 360 pad wants to vibrate all the time. Solid.Ĭontroller support is a bit odd overall. No Linux-specific issues were found here. You can turn on auto-fire, disable screen-shake (of which there's a lot) and disable flashing screens (also a lot).Īs for the Linux port, as expected by MP2 Games, it's fantastic too. There's a few nice accessibility options too. You can pause the game, bring up the shop and purchase weapons and vehicles. Here though, you use it directly in each run. Most games will have you collects coins for lives or upgrades. The way it uses money is pretty clever too. This ultimate ability doesn't last long while you use it, and it charges while you fight but it's fantastic too - especially for when you're in a pinch during some of the crazy boss fights. You also have a special ability to power yourself up, essentially turning yourself into a Super Saiyan Goose for a brief moment and suddenly becoming incredibly powerful while you take little damage. The first of which is an ordinary Duck, which like the Honk, is useless but still amusing as an intro to the rest. Not only that, you also get to rescue and use various different companions. You do get to switch to other abilities, and weapons and there's an upgrade system too. It does absolutely nothing but it's hilarious all the same. What's not to love about it? You're a Goose whose first special ability is to Honk. Not just the action that's good though! The visual style, the music and the additions of some comedy make it a truly worthwhile game to go and pick up today. Enemies keep on coming, so you keep on gunning. This is probably some of the most furious action I've seen in a run and gun for a while, very much like you might have expected out of some kind of Metal Slug game. Secondary weapon recommendation: runaway booster.YouTube videos require cookies, you must accept their cookies to view.Partner suggestion: the pig for the weapon.Equipment recommendations: Avoid equipment that adds energy, increases the number of bullets, and lengthens the runaway time.Use it to jump up and roll, avoid bullets and move large screens.Because there is no CD limit for dodge, most of the time during the game, you can’t see where the big fat goose is. ![]() Not to mention that it’s easy to get eyestrain after watching for a long time. The pixel images of the game are delicate, the color style is bright and eye-catching, and the music is quite interesting, but it is also because the colors are too bright, all kinds of bullets and explosion effects fill the entire game screen. The freshness of the game will be reduced. After the pass, the player will be asked to re-chall the previous levels with increased difficulty. The first pass is basically only about two hours. In addition, the game process is too short. The fly in the ointment is that there are too few types of weapons and props. The difficulty of breaking through the level is not too high, the BOSS is very easy to fight, even the handicapped party can successfully pass through the level in the single-digit number of challenges. If you want to keep holding the machine gun and sweep all the way, it is recommended that partners choose the pig after passing the first level, but how to choose The matching is also based on the player’s own preferences. ![]()
